New Project: A real-time model for estimating delays at traffic signals
A new PATREC project will develop a pilot real-time model for estimating intersection delays using existing Main Roads WA data, providing traffic operations with accurate delay information without additional infrastructure.
PATREC hosted over 40 stakeholders at AUDRC to present the methodology behind the RailSmart system, with presentations from nine researchers on data-driven approaches to land use and transport planning for Perth's Yanchep Rail Extension.
PATREC Supervised Students Present at AITPM Thesis Night
PATREC-supervised students presented their transport research at the AITPM Thesis Night in Perth, covering topics including pedestrian and cyclist microsimulation, active transport accessibility, and road cost modelling.
Professor Patricia Melo from ISEG Lisbon presented the 2024 John Taplin Memorial Lecture, titled 'Hägerstrand Meets Big Data: Time-Geography in the Age of Mobility Analytics', at UWA on 21 March 2024.
