‘Missed Connections’ in the Perth Public Transport Network

The ability for consumers to transfer easily between public transport (PT) services ensures a balance between the economical provision of PT and a high level of accessibility for PT users. However, there are areas within the Perth PT network where service provision can be optimised to minimise transfers by number and time. The aim of this project is to develop and evaluate a methodology to identify areas within the Perth PT network where minor changes in routing and timing of services can yield improvements to the user experience by minimising the number of transfers and transfer time.
